The Void is all the empty space around and outside submachines. It contains nothing.
Properties
The Void is the seemingly empty space around the Submachines, some of which can be floating in it.[1]
The void is not opaque, and can be penetrated with proper lighting and equipment, as demonstrated with the flood light in the ancient section and the night vision telescope in the pi room.
History
The void appears to have influenced the evolution of the fluorescent plants of the South Garden.
One of the Player's predecessors committed suicide by jumping into the void, after being trapped in the Edge.
